Dhaka, April 3 -- Three people have been killed as a bus tire burst, causing the vehicle to veer out of control and crash into a road divider and an overbridge before overturning in Sirajganj.

At least 10 others have been injured in the accident.

The incident occurred around 11am in the Nalka area of Kamarkhand Upazila on the western end of the Jamuna Bridge, according to Amirul Islam, chief (OC) of Jamuna Bridge West Police Station.

Two of the dead have been identified as Rakhi Begum from Sirajganj's Raigonj Upazila and Rakibul Islam from Naogaon's Badalgachi Upazila.
