Dhaka, March 16 -- Police have arrested three suspects in connection with the brutal murder of a social media content creator, who was hacked and shot dead at the Central Shaheed Minar.
Preliminary investigations suggest the killing of 25-year-old Rakib Ahmed, a second-year BA student at Shaikh Burhanuddin College, was sparked by a dispute involving "romantic affairs".
Shahbagh Police chief Md Moniruzzaman confirmed the arrests.
While the names of the detainees have not been officially released, police said one suspect was caught by bystanders at the scene, leading to the arrest of two others.
