3 Ansar members held for 'creating' chaos during PM's durbar
Bangladesh, May 23 -- Police have arrested three members of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force (VDP) for allegedly creating chaos during the prime minister's durbar in Gazipur on the occasion of the 46th National Rally of the force.
The arrestees have reportedly admitted to the crime before a Gazipur Special Court on Friday afternoon, said Prosecution Police Inspector Abdul Mannan.
The arrested are Raihan Uddin Sarkar, Ashraful Alam and Shakil Ahmed, all hailing from Gazipur City.
They were trainees of the Youth Leadership Course and leaders of the Town Defence Party, a wing of the force, in their respective areas.
Masud Hasan, adjutant of Ansar and VDP, filed a case with Kaliakair Police Station on Thursday.
