Dhaka, June 29 -- Two employees of the Land Record and Survey Department have been punished over corruption-related allegations. One has been dismissed from service, while the other's pay grade has been lowered.

According to a press statement issued by the Ministry of Land, the disciplinary actions were taken after allegations of misconduct and corruption were found to be substantiated.

Among them, Muhammad Wahiduzzaman, a former copyist-cum-bench assistant in Rangpur Sadar, was dismissed from service after the allegations of misconduct and corruption against him were proven. He was most recently serving at the Settlement Office in Bera, Pabna.
