Dhaka, Sept. 24 -- At least two people, including the driver of a microbus, have been killed in a head-on collision with a truck in Bogura's Shajahanpur.

Seven others were injured in the crash that occurred around 4am on Thursday on the Bogura-Dhaka highway, according to Aiyub Ali, chief of the Sherpur Highway Police Camp.

The dead were microbus driver Ferdous Mondol, 25, son of Faruk Mondol of Gopinathpur village in Akkelpur Upazila of Joypurhat, and passenger Zubayedul Islam, 30, son of Hasher Ali of Barail village in the same Upazila.

According to witnesses, seven relatives were travelling by microbus to Akkelpur from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka after receiving a family member returning from abroad.
