Dhaka, Oct. 6 -- The Ministry of Law has, for the first time, selected 18 sub-registrars for postings in Dhaka through a lottery in a bid to address the perception that postings in the capital are "prize postings" and are associated with negative practices.

The lottery was held at the ministry on Tuesday, according to a press statement.

The statement said the 18 were selected from a list of 131 sub-registrars across the country for postings at sub-registry offices in Dhaka.
