Dhaka, April 16 -- In a dramatic courtroom scene, the mother of slain "Alex Group" leader Emon, alias "Alex" Emon, pointed directly at a suspect in the dock, identifying him as the man who hacked her son to death.

"He hacked my son to death while wearing that very same white shirt," Ferdousi, the mother and plaintiff in the case identified by a single name, told Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Monirul Islam during a remand hearing on Thursday.

The court subsequently placed six suspects -- Sayeed Hossain Shimul, Tuhin Biswas, Rabbi Kazi, Suman, Rana, and Rasel -- the last three suspects identified by single names -- on a four-day remand each for interrogation.
