Dhaka, April 7 -- A "Kalnagini" or golden tree snake was rescued from the third floor of the staff quarters at Sreemangal Upazila Health Complex in Moulvibazar.

Later, the snake was released into Lawachhara National Park through the Forest Department.

According to Nazmul Haque, range officer of the Sreemangal Wildlife and Nature Conservation Department, the snake was rescued around 8pm on Monday from the residence of Sraban Pal in the quarters.

Family members in Pal's home suddenly spotted the snake. Panic spread, and they quickly left the house.
