United Kingdom, April 6 -- Samsung is ditching its long-running messaging app for Google Messages.

In an End of Service Announcement posted on its website, the South Korean tech titan confirmed that Samsung Messages will not be available by July 2026.

The exact shutdown date will be confirmed within the app itself.

As part of the transition, users are being encouraged to switch to Google Messages as their default messaging platform.
