United Kingdom, April 14 -- OpenAI is set open its first permanent London office in 2027.
The ChatGPT developer has revealed that the site will be located in King's Cross and will have capacity for 544 workers when it opens its doors next year.
At present, OpenAI has around 200 employees in the UK capital working in areas such as research, engineering, customer support, policy, communications, marketing and sales - and it is seeking to grow its British teams in these sectors.
However, plans for the new office come just days after the US technology giant announced that it was shelving its Stargate UK project - which was due to be based at Cobalt Park in North Tyneside - amid concerns surrounding energy costs and regulation.
