King Charles to urge AI leaders to use tech 'for the good of humanity' at summit
United Kingdom, Sept. 14 -- King Charles is preparing to call on some of the world's leading artificial intelligence companies to ensure the technology is developed "for the good of humanity" at a major summit in Scotland this week.
The monarch will host senior figures from AI firms including Nvidia, Anthropic, Google DeepMind and OpenAI at Dumfries House, where he hopes to encourage agreement on a "shared set of principles" for the future of artificial intelligence.
The meeting comes amid growing concerns from researchers and technology leaders over the speed of AI development and the potential risks posed by increasingly powerful systems.
