United Kingdom, June 8 -- Sir Keir Starmer thinks the UK is "on the precipice of something truly extraordinary" in the world of AI.

The British Prime Minister has reflected on the impact of artificial intelligence across the UK, and insisted people should look forward to a "hopeful" future rather than seeing "something they can endure or battle".

Speaking at the opening keynote of London Tech Week 2026, Starmer said: "This is a revolution that Britain is uniquely placed to lead.

"Britain has every reason to be confident, we're on the precipice of something truly extraordinary."

He noted that the UK was home to half of all European tech investment in 2026.
