United Kingdom, March 10 -- EA is making layoffs at Battlefield Studios despite the huge success of Battlefield 6.

Last year, the game broke franchise records and was the top selling game of 2025 in the United States, but the company is making some cuts, which will impact and unconfirmed number of employees from across the studio.

In a statement, EA told GameSpot: "We've made select changes within our Battlefield organization to better align our teams around what matters most to our community.

"Battlefield remains one of our biggest priorities, and we're continuing to invest in the franchise, guided by player feedback and insights from Battlefield Labs."
