United Kingdom, June 1 -- Duolingo is letting users regain lost streaks over the next few weeks.

The hugely popular language learning app has introduced a new feature fans have been clamouring for, by answering "one of the most consistent requests" the company gets from users.

From June 1, to celebrate Duolingo's 15th anniversary, users who previously had a streak of 30 days or more can get it back by completing three lessons in one sitting.

Streaks are built by using the app every day, but the streak disappears if you skip a day.

So far, the only ways round this have been to buy a "streak freeze" before missing a lesson, or a "streak repair" after losing the streak.
