United Kingdom, April 21 -- Zayn Malik has reportedly withdrawn from a scheduled appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon as he continues to recover from a recent hospitalisation and apparently seeks specialist medical care.

The 33-year-old singer had been due to appear on the programme hosted by Jimmy on Tuesday (21.04.26) to promote his forthcoming fifth studio album Konnakol.

But he "isn't able to due to doctor's recommendations", according to a source cited by People.

The same insider said: "He's still working through his health issues."

Zayn was reportedly planning to consult what was described as the "No. 1 cardiologist in the world", following an unexpected hospital stay last week.
