United Kingdom, Oct. 1 -- Wynonna Judd is "taking a break" from her actress sister Ashley Judd.

The 62-year-old country singer has admitted she's not currently "connected" to her younger half-sibling but she's adamant the rift is not permanent and they will be back in touch at some point in the future.

She told PEOPLE: "We're taking a break, which all families can relate to. She's doing her thing, and I'm doing mine."

Wynonna insisted the pair will "absolutely" reconnect in the future. She added: "She just travels a lot. She's always gone. It's nothing specific."
