United Kingdom, Sept. 9 -- Cody Rhodes has revealed his beloved dog Pharaoh has died.

The former WWE Champion, who is also starring in the upcoming Street Fighter movie, has paid a lengthy and heartbreaking tribute to his late pooch, who became a hit with fans over the years, and revealed he has gone to "forever sleep" as he reflected on his favourite memories.

He began his Instagram post: "When you watch [Game of Thrones] one night late on tv and decide you want a little wolf pup, it would be fitting to say 'your watch has ended', but I'd rather say the last thing I told you before you went to forever sleep, you did your job. We love you."
