United Kingdom, March 30 -- Work has already begun on the second series of Harry Potter.

Last week, the first trailer for HBO's upcoming blockbuster wizarding series - which is based on JK Rowling's best-selling novels - debuted along with the announcement the programme will now premiere at Christmas this year, and fans won't have to wait too long for the follow-up episodes.

HBO and HBO Max chief executive Casey Bloys told The Sunday Times newspaper: "Our goal is to not have a huge gap, you know, especially because the kids are growing. It's not going to be an annual; the show is too big and too massive. But . they're writing the season two now."
