United Kingdom, March 18 -- Will Smith was "very happy" that Michael B Jordan mentioned him in his Oscars speech.

The 39-year-old star recently won the Best Actor gong for his role in Sinners, the hit horror movie, and Will was thrilled that his name was mentioned in Michael's acceptance speech.

The award-winning star said: "I stand here because of the people that came before me: Sidney Poitier, Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Jamie Foxx, Forest Whitaker, Will Smith..."

Will - who was involved in an on-stage altercation with Chris Rock at the Oscars in 2022 - felt heartened by the recognition.
