United Kingdom, June 23 -- Zoey Deutch felt "very hesitant" to make a romcom for many years.

The 31-year-old actress has returned to the romcom genre to star in Voicemails for Isabelle, the new Netflix film about an aspiring baker navigating loss after the death of her sister - but Zoey admits that she was initially hesitant to make another romcom.

The actress - who previously starred in Set It Up, the 2018 romcom - told People: "I'm, quite frankly, very hesitant to do movies of this genre, and the reason that I wanted to do this one was because it felt deep and about grief and about love after loss and about sisters.

"I was reluctant to do another one, for sure, but I feel super grateful and couldn't love this movie more."
