United Kingdom, June 22 -- Tom Grennan believes getting sober has "changed" his life .

The 31-year-old singer is preparing to celebrate one year since giving up alcohol and he's insisted it's made a massive impact because he can still have a good time without feeling terrible afterwards.

He told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "I am coming up to a year sober now and it's changed my life. I had to really do it properly this time. Trust me, I can still have the craic, I can still be the life and soul of the party.

"I will be in that VIP bar, I just won't be leaving with a sore head."
