United Kingdom, Sept. 14 -- Tom Felton is "so excited" to see Rupert Grint play Ron Weasley again.

Rupert, 38, shot to fame as a child when he landed the role of Ron in the Harry Potter film series and he played the character in all eight films - now he's picking up his wand again to play Ron in the Broadway production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Tom reprised his own Harry Potter character, Draco Malfoy, for a stint in the same stage show in New York and he's thrilled his longtime pal is doing the same. Tom told the BBC: "We are typically - and he will agree with me - pretty bad at our phone game, but when I heard the news I called him immediately and I'm so excited for him.
