United Kingdom, Aug. 12 -- Tiffany Haddish has avoided jail time after pleading guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol.

The Girls Trip star's trial had been due to start on Tuesday (11.08.26) in Fayette County, Georgia - more than four years after she was initially arrested for falling asleep at the wheel.

While she had been facing time behind bars, Tiffany's guilty plea for the DUI charge resulted in her receiving 12 months' probation instead, as well as her driving license in the state of Georgia being suspended.

The 46-year-old will also be subjected to random drug and alcohol testing, after being ordered to stay away from the substances for the next year, while all other misdemeanour charges were dismissed.
