United Kingdom, Oct. 21 -- The View executives reportedly want Joy Behar to retire from the ABC talk show after weeks away recovering from a painful on-set injury.

The 84-year-old host has been absent from screens since October 1 after dislocating her shoulder when she "caught a heel backstage" the day before, despite claims that the star will soon return to the programme.

However, one insider claimed to The US Sun that staff are becoming "increasingly worried about her falling" and believe she should quit the show. They added that Joy "needs staff to guide her around backstage".
