United Kingdom, Aug. 26 -- The Rocky Horror Picture Show star Tim Curry has died at the age of 80.

The English actor - who is best known for playing Dr. Frank-N-Furter in Richard O'Brien and Jim Sharman's cult classic 1975 musical movie - passed away late on Tuesday night (25.08.26) at his Los Angeles home, TMZ has reported.

Curry had been in ill health after having a serious stroke in 2012.

As well as his role in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Curry's other most famous performances came as Pennywise the Dancing Clown in the 1990 TV miniseries It, based on Stephen King's novel of the same name, and as pompous Plaza Hotel concierge Mr. Hector in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, which saw Macaulay Culkin reprise his role as Kevin McCallis...
