United Kingdom, Aug. 3 -- The Killers star Brandon Flowers is considering quitting music because he is "really going through it right now".

The 45-year-old frontman has admitted he doesn't know "how much longer" he can continue in the industry, confessing he's compared his life to that of his father and he's convinced his dad is much "happier" even though he has a lot less money.

He told The Times newspaper: "My dad goes to yard sales, where he buys frames to take home and paint. He's never had any money in his life and he's happier than I am.

"I'm really going through it right now: how much longer do I want to do this, what does it mean, why am I doing it anyway?

"Whenever I finish a tour, without fail I get sick."
