United Kingdom, Aug. 25 -- Taylor Swift uses several "coping mechanisms" to deal with fame, including using complex words to "mock" her haters.

The 36-year-old pop megastar has told how she sometimes hits back at those who criticise her by deliberately using big words she knows they will have to "look up".

Speaking on the Grammy Museum's Icon Sessions, she told Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr: "Sometimes when people are mocking me it's really fun to mock them back.

"Sometimes I like to just use words that they have to look up in order to talk s*** about."

She also added in an exaggerated tone: "It's like, anything you say, they're like, 'Oh, easy for you to say.' "
