United Kingdom, Aug. 22 -- Taylor Swift has reportedly stepped on to the Emmy campaign trail by making a rare appearance before awards voters to explain how her record-breaking Eras Tour became a source of "great escapism" for millions of fans.

The singer, 36, appeared alongside director Glenn Weiss at an intimate event at Ross House in Los Angeles on Wednesday as Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show competes for five Emmy awards. About 50 people attended the event, according to Deadline, with phones, cameras and press prohibited. The appearance came weeks after Taylor married Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, 36, at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
