United Kingdom, Aug. 20 -- Snooki has opened up about her hysterectomy recovery, admitting it's been "awful".

The Jersey Shore star underwent the operation - in which she had her uterus and cervix surgically removed - in July, after being diagnosed with stage one cervical cancer at the beginning of the year.

The mother-of-three has now opened up about the recovery process on her podcast It's Happening with Snooki and Joey, and sighed: "I didn't realise how f****** awful it was gonna be. Not to scare anybody that is going to do this. You have to."

The podcast was recorded on "day 17" of Snooki's recovery, as she added: "The last two days have been miserable. It hurts and I'm over it. I'm not comfortable, and it's not an easy recovery."...
