United Kingdom, May 12 -- Sir Rod Stewart has hailed King Charles for putting "little ratbag" Donald Trump "in his place" during his recent US state visit.

The Maggie May hitmaker greeted the 77-year-old monarch at an event celebrating the 50th anniversary of The King's Trust at London's Royal Albert Hall on Monday (11.05.26) and revealed that he was impressed at the way Charles handled Trump during his trip to the "Americas" last month.

Rod, 81, said: "May I say, well done in the Americas. You were superb, absolutely superb. Put that little ratbag in his place."

The King appeared to laugh off Rod's comment whilst the latter's former Faces bandmate and Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood grinned next to the duo.
