United Kingdom, Sept. 20 -- Sheryl Lee Ralph believes Vincent Hughes was "delivered" from God.

The Abbott Elementary actress - who married the politician 21 years ago - insisted their relationship isn't "perfect" but the best way to get through tough times are to "remember" what brought them together in the first place.

She told People magazine: "Listen, I literally wrote down and asked God to deliver to me what I felt I needed. Thank God I was right, and he came to me.

"Now, do not think that relationships are going to be perfect. They're not going to be perfect, but if you're lucky, you're going to get three-quarters of the way there.
