United Kingdom, March 18 -- Sharon Osbourne has hit out at "bullies" for targeting her daughter Kelly Osbourne.

Following online comments about 41-year-old Kelly's ultra-skinny appearance in the months after the death of her father Ozzy Osbourne, 76, former music manager Sharon, 73, spoke out during an appearance at Elton John's Oscars party, where she was asked about Kelly's response to online body shaming.

A reporter asked Sharon: "Are you so proud of Kelly for standing up for herself against the bullies?"

Sharon said: "Sure. Listen, people that give it out have to get it back... ."
