United Kingdom, April 17 -- Shannon Elizabeth split from her husband last year.

The American Pie actress sparked speculation about the state of her relationship with Simon Borchert - who she married in 2021 after six years together - when she announced this week she was joining adults-only subscription site OnlyFans, and she's now confirmed they went their separate ways several months ago.

Shannon told Us Weekly magazine: "I've been separated since September of last year, and this has been a thoughtful, ongoing process-not something that happened in the past few days.

"The meaningful pieces are already behind me, and only the formalities remain."

The 52-year-old star is "genuinely excited" about what the future holds for her.
