United Kingdom, Sept. 14 -- Seth Green would love to return to Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

The 52-year-old actor played Oz in the fantasy TV series from 1997 until 2000 and while he was never in talks to reprise the role in the now-axed planned reboot of the show, he would be open to playing the role again.

Speaking on The McBride Rewind podcast, he said: "I was not part of those talks...

"If they wrote an Oz story, I'd love to see where Oz is right now."

Seth - who noted lead star Sarah Michelle Gellar had invited him to participate in an early reading for executives - hopes the Buffy reboot will eventually "figure out a path forward" and still get made.
