United Kingdom, March 30 -- Scott Mills has been sacked by the BBC following allegations about his personal conduct.

The 53-year-old broadcaster moved from BBC Radio 1 to Radio 2 in 2022 when he took over Steve Wright's afternoon slot before taking over the breakfast show from Zoe Ball in January 2025, but he has now abruptly had his contract terminated.

The BBC said: "While we do not comment on matters relating to individuals, we can confirm Scott Mills is no longer contracted to work with the BBC."

The broadcaster stated that he had been dismissed following allegations over his personal conduct but did not specify any details.
