United Kingdom, May 11 -- Savannah Guthrie is to host a TV game show based on Wordle.

The Today show presenter will make her first new onscreen venture since returning to air last month following the disappearance of her mother Nancy Guthrie in February with the new show inspired by the popular New York Times word game.

Savannah, 54, revealed the news on the Today show on Monday (11.05.26), explaining that the project has been in the pipeline for a lengthy period but had been delayed because of her absence from the screen following her mother's disappearance.

Nancy Guthrie, 84, vanished from her home in Arizona on February 1 and has not been seen since, with the authorities suspecting that she was a victim of a kidnapping.
