United Kingdom, Sept. 13 -- Sara Bareilles had a miscarriage this year.

The 46-year-old singer has been open about her fertility struggles, and she has now shared that after undergoing multiple rounds of IVF with husband Joe Tippett, she tragically experienced a pregnancy loss.

She told the New York Times newspaper: "It sucks. Of course I wish I didn't have a miscarriage."

However, the Love Song hitmaker admitted that, after a tough period - which included the 2024 death of her close friend Gavin Creel, who partly inspired her new album Good Grief - it was a bit of a "relief" not to be pregnant because this era of her life "would be really, really, really hard" if she was carrying a child.
