United Kingdom, Sept. 1 -- Sara Bareilles "wrestled" with not knowing if she could have children amid fertility struggles.

The 46-year-old singer and her 44-year-old husband, actor Joe Tippett, have spent the last three years trying to conceive, with Sara undergoing IVF "a few times" without success, regularly having her blood drawn and hormone levels checked, and now turning to an "egg donor" as the "next phase" of their fertility journey.

But she had no idea how difficult the fertility process would be when they started and found little information about people going through similar troubles.
