United Kingdom, July 16 -- Sam Neill's manager has confirmed the actor died of pneumonia following "outright falsehoods" in reports around his death.

The Jurassic Park actor died on Monday (13.07.26) aged 78, and his manager Philip Grenz has now spoken out after a number of "inaccuracies and outright falsehoods" being reported about his passing.

In a statement to USA Today and others, Grenz confirmed he died of pneumonia, and added: "Prior to becoming sick, Sam had valiantly fought and beaten lymphoma through a new treatment called CAR-T therapy."

Grenz also revealed Neill's family will be holding a "private" memorial rather than any kind of public service.
