United Kingdom, Sept. 11 -- Sacha Baron Cohen will lead the cast of Quentin Tarantino's West End play.

The 54-year-old actor will take the title role when The Popinjay Cavalier opens in an as-yet-undisclosed London theatre in the spring of 2027, Deadline reports.

The play is described as a "swashbuckling comedy" and is set in Europe in the 1830s.

A synopsis reads: "The Popinjay Cavalier is a rambunctious comedy of deception and disguise inspired by the grand swashbuckling epics of stage and screen. A sweeping celebration of theatre and its heightened romance, told with Tarantino's signature style and unmistakable wit."

The Hateful 8 filmmaker revealed last year that he was working on a play.
