United Kingdom, June 1 -- Sabrina Carpenter has reportedly filed for a restraining order against a man she described as a "complete stranger" after a series of alleged incidents at her Los Angeles home.

The 27-year-old singer and actress - whose chart-topping hits Espresso, Please Please Please and Taste propelled her Grammy-winning album Short n' Sweet to global success - is said to have sought legal protection against William Applegate, 31, according to court documents.

The filing, reported by TMZ, alleges Applegate repeatedly appeared at Sabrina's home uninvited over the course of several days in May.
