United Kingdom, July 29 -- Glee could be coming back to our screens - in a "new incarnation".

The beloved TV show about a high school glee club turned stars including Lea Michele into household names, and ran for six seasons from 2009 to 2015, collecting six Emmy Awards along the way.

Now creator Ryan Murphy has teased a potential reboot of the programme, admitting that the interest in the show from the younger generation has made him think twice about revisiting William McKinley High.

He told People: "That show is interesting because it's come back around. So many young people now watch it. And I'm like, 'Maybe we should revisit that show'.
