United Kingdom, Sept. 21 -- Ruby Rose grew tearful as she remembered her "best friend" Hayden Panettiere.

The Orange is the New Black actress was left distraught when the Heroes star passed away last month at the age of 36 because they were so used to talking to one another every day.

Ruby grew tearful as she told Entertainment Tonight: "That was my best friend. We spoke every day for five years.

"I didn't even think we were going to be friends. I didn't know if I wanted to have any celebrity friends, because I didn't have a great experience with the industry."
