Ricky Gervais open to assisted dying but only under strict circumstances
United Kingdom, Aug. 18 -- Ricky Gervais would consider going to assisted dying clinic Dignitas but only in certain circumstances.
The 65-year-old comedian, who has voiced his support for the UK's Assisted Dying Bill, has opened up about whether or not he'd consider going to the Swiss clinic to end his life on his own terms if his health declined as he gets older.
While he isn't against the idea, he explained to Saga magazine: "But it would take quite a lot to get me there.
"I'd want every last breath. It's only if every breath hurts."
Ricky, who is known for his work on the likes of The Office, After Life and new Netflix animated comedy Alley Cats, insisted people should be free to make their own decisions.
