United Kingdom, June 7 -- Rebecca Gayheart has paid tribute to her daughter Georgia Dane after the teenager completed middle school.

Describing the past year as "incredibly difficult" just months after the death of the girl's father, Euphoria actor Eric Dane, widow Rebecca, 54, shared a moving message on Instagram alongside photographs and videos from Georgia's graduation ceremony.

Georgia, 14, is one of two daughters Rebecca shared with Eric, who died in February aged 53 following a battle with ALS.

Posting online alongside images from the graduation ceremony, Rebecca said: "Congratulations Georgia!!! You have graduated middle school and survived an incredibly difficult year.
