United Kingdom, May 1 -- Tyla's life "flipped on its head" following the success of Water.

The 24-year-old pop star released Water, her chart-topping single, in 2024, and Tyla admits that her life has not been the same since.

Tyla told E! News: "That was insane. My life literally flipped on its head.

"It was a lot of adjusting, you know? Because where I'm from in South Africa is very different to everything over here, so that moment changed my whole life, honestly."

Tyla has learned to navigate the music industry by trusting her instincts.

She said: "I just went with what feels good. And now I feel like I'm at a place where I'm really just having the most fun."
