United Kingdom, March 31 -- Dakota Johnson failed an audition because of her good "manners".

The 36-year-old actress recalled getting a callback for an unspecified project and introducing herself to everyone in the room, but she missed out on the role because she was deemed to be "pompous" and "cocky" for taking the time to shake hands with those assembled.

She told Hits Radio: "I went into the room and I shook everyone's hand and introduced myself.

"And then I did the scene and I left. And the feedback I got was that because I had gone and introduced myself and shook everyone's hand, that I was, like, pompous, that I was schmoozing and full of myself.

"I was like, what? I didn't get the job because they said that I was being cocky."...
