United Kingdom, July 14 -- Poison star Rikki Rockett refused to have his tongue amputated during his battle with cancer.
The 64-year-old drummer was diagnosed with throat cancer back in 2015 and he underwent treatment including radiation therapy, chemotherapy and immunotherapy before being declared cancer-free but was dealt a massive setback when he was diagnosed with a form of leukemia. He went on to make a recovery and he's marked 10 years since beating "two forms of cancer" by opening up about his health battle and treatment - comparing his experiences to scenes from the Evil Dead horror movies.
In a post on Facebook, Rikki wrote: "In 2015 I went to my ENT [ear, nose and throat doctor] because I was on my second round of antibiotics ...
