United Kingdom, Oct. 22 -- David Charvet helped Pamela Anderson to land a role on Baywatch.

The 54-year-old actor was dating Pamela in the early 90s, and David has explained the role he played in Pamela joining the hit TV show.

David - who played Matt Brody in Baywatch - said on Special Forces: "They needed another girl on the show and I told them, 'You guys should meet Pamela'. And they met Pamela, and they hired her."

Asked if he got Pamela a role on the TV show, David replied: "Sure, sure. She was my girlfriend for two and a half years."

David and Pamela dated between 1992 and 1994, and the actor recalled being wowed by the actress' beauty.

He shared: "She was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life."
