Olivia Wilde's near-drowning made it into movie
United Kingdom, July 3 -- Olivia Wilde's real near-drowning was used in a film.
The 42-year-old actress-and-director learned to free dive for one of her earliest roles in 2006's horror movie Turistas, but things went badly wrong during one under-water scene and she had to be rescued by a cameraman.
Speaking to The Invite co-star Seth Rogen for Entertainment Weekly for their Lie vs. Lie video series, she said:"I had to learn how to free dive to go into tunnels and hold my breath for minutes upon minutes.
"We had to go down into this tunnel, and I got lost. It's a job a stunt person should do. And you have to suck down little bubbles of air that look like little mercury pods."
